Colour: The Spectrum of Science

Did you watch the repeat of episode 3 of "Colour: The Spectrum of Science-Beyond the Rainbow" ? At 37m30s they feature the Rutherford Laboratories' Synchrotron particle accelerator. This is the 1.2MVA transformer that we supplied to them for the power supply for the magnets that contain the proton beams and accelerate them to 84% of the speed of light.
